Take a road trip with me to photograph the beautiful couple at Big Sur and Sausalito Beach. Can we just start by admiring how pretty California is? As a Houston Texas photographer, I was amazed by the soaring mountains, beautiful wild flowers, and clear water beaches. It was a dream to have this photo session with Cathy and Joel who were so in love. Big Sur is huge, so it was overwhelming to choose a few locations to photograph at. Honestly, it was magnificent anywhere we went to and we definitely would be able to make it work regardless of the locations. We knew we wanted to go to Pfeiffer beach because it was famous for their purple sand and remarkable golden sunset. The focal point on this beach was the massive rocks in the crashing surf. One rock has a rock arch which was called Keyhole Arch. This wonderful natural arch allows waves and sunlight pass through creating the most magical light show during sunset. Unfortunately, it was a foggy and windy day when we got to the final destination. It was a little disappointing to miss out the once in a lifetime magical sunset. But, that couldn't stop me and the couple from posing away and having the best time ever. I tried to recreate the golden sun phenomenon with the help of photoshop. And you wouldn't even know!!!

Next, We drove down another 30minutes to see McWay Waterfall. The 80-foot waterfall is biggest waterfall in Big Sur and its water empties onto the stunning beach. The only way to see is through a lookout point since the beach is closed to visitors. It would have been amazing to be able to come down closer for a view. The view that we got was strikingly beautiful regardless.
