Welcomed to the BLOG

Follow me to a beautiful and emotional photo session at Magnolia Green - Houston, TX

Y'all… prepare yourselves for the ultimate DREAM couple session in a whimsical greenwood haven! I truly don’t know where to begin but I will say that I absolutely LOVED Keenan and Erick's photos.

Keenan & Erick

Now, a little of back story. Recently married in May 20, 2020, these two have been basking in their honeymoon bliss and never letting a dull moment pass them by. Although their story has only just begun, they have been making a bucket list of all the things they could do together: visiting popular US travel destinations being at the top of their list. They've got a travel bug of sorts and the idea of experiencing new things is a high. They are constantly exploring and finding things to do. And yet, they have never taken professional photos before! That's where I come in, crossing that off their bucket list, and save the day! I'll show them the true beauty of capturing that high.

Photographer's Thoughts
I can understand the excitement these sightseers must feel when they travel. There is a certain beauty in seeing or experiencing something for the first time - to process, understand, and unlock certain emotions that are so vibrant and fresh that any other time can't compare. As that saying goes "Everybody remembers their first time." My passion is to capture these moments in time so that these feelings never wither.

That being said, I was so honored to have Keenan and Erick be my first couple photoshoot ever. From the moment I saw how Keenan and Erick interacted with each other throughout the shoot, I knew this love story had a happy ending. Let me tell you something. Even though they've just started this journey together for a few years, a three year relationship definitely feels like decade! This couldn't be more culturally correct in the LGBTQ+ community. Don't blame me, it's just the facts!  I believed that true love didn't exist in the LGBTQ+ world (mostly from the experience that I personally had in the past.) But Keenan and Erick gave me hope; that one day I can find my own happy ending somewhere somehow. So.. the question is: did I save them by exposing them to the beauty of still photography, or did they actually save me? Some food for thought...

Was I nervous? No, because I knew them for years and the whole experience felt very natural to all of us. Keenan mentioned that this was their first time getting professional photos taken, but the couple did amazing in this photoshoot. We traveled to Magnolia Green located about an hour northwest of Houston, but we were all excited and got everything done within 30 minutes.

Pieces of Advice

Just be yourself. Embrace the person that you are with whether it be spouse, family, or friends. You shouldn't be embarrassed to express how you feel to your partner in crime as true love should not be hidden behind closed doors. Everything will turn out perfect.

Last Words

Keenan and Erick: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me to capture your love. It was an HONOR to say the least! I loved getting to celebrate you both, and I hope you enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites! Soak up every second with each other and know that the audience and I are wishing you all the very best!
